Belgrade - Serbia is to sell arms and equipment to Iraq and train their soldiers, Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac told local media Saturday.
Sutanovac, who visited Iraq during the week, told Beta news agency that ministries of two countries signed an agreement to this effect on Thursday.
'Iraq is making great efforts to rebuild its security structures, including and police,' Sutanovac said. Serbian 'defence systems can provide training and possible exercises for Iraqi forces.'
Last year Serbia signed a 235 million-dollar agreement with Iraq and provided the country with infantry ammunition, guns, uniforms and helmets as well as 20 airforce training planes.

การที่สหรัฐฯและประเทศพันธมิตรอื่นๆมีแผนที่จะถอนกำลังออกไปจากอิรักนั้นเป็นเหตุให้กองทัพอิรักต้องมีการจัดหายุทโธปกรณ์และการฝึกเพื่อที่จะสามารถพึ่งพาตนเองจากภัยคุกคามในปัจจุบันได้ครับ
